Job Description:

An International NGO seeks to employ a Finance and Operations Director who will be responsible for overall management of Finance and Operations of the GCBS Program. He / She will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will be reporting directly to the Country Director South Africa Office.
Minimum Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Manage and supervise Finance & Operations team;
·         Provide overall financial management and internal control systems in line with USAID rules and regulations and Company’s worldwide policies and procedures;
·         Maintain country office financial risk management plans and adhere to monthly reporting;
·         Ensure financial reporting in accordance with USAID contractual requirements;
·         Develop & manage departmental budgets and provide regular and timely financial expenditure reports;
·         Develop quarterly forecast reports and submit to the donor;
·         Ensure statutory compliance with various local laws and maintain financial files and support annual audits.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Educational Qualification, Experience and Key Skills:
·         Master’s degree in Financial Management, Business Administration, Financial  Accounting or other relevant field, or a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ experience;
·         5 years’ work experience in development finance and previous working with NPO or a South African Government will be most preferred;
·         10 years’ experience in accounting, operations and financial management of large-scale, complex, international development assistance programs;
·         Registration with Professional Bodies (CAP; ACCA or SAIPA ) will be an added advantage;
·         Familiarity with USAID  financial reporting and compliance requirements;
·         Previous experience in managing large teams and capacity building them;
·         Demonstrated management experience in related field;
·         Demonstrated previous experience in developing and presenting and managing large budgets;
·         Strong team player with great interpersonal skills ;
·         Advanced knowledge of MS Office  ( Word; Excel ; Outlook and Internet);
·         A customer service oriented individual with ability to deal with all service providers;
·         Excellent written and oral communication coupled with good Presentation skills;
·         Should be in possession of a valid Driver’s License;
·         South African and / or permanent residents are preferred.
